Meet Aling Arlene and her Team

Arlene Geromiano-Luistro, born and raised at Putotan Ilo-ilo Visayas. She  went to Manila on circa 1970’s. Then she met her husband who is from Southern Tagalog area and decided to settle down at Laguna.

Cooking is her passion, before she started her catering service, her business is selling merienda (snacks) on their neighborhood (Lako Style). As a dreamer, she told her self that she will have her own business someday. Her hunger for success and ambition to be a chef someday helped her plan her future.

Year 2008, with determination and faith in God, she started her catering business. It wasn’t easy since she did not have background with catering business. She partnered with lots of event stylist, she actually learned it the hard way but when her family started to support and helped her, step-by-step, everything went good

Aling Arlene is in-charge of all the foods that we served, from food trays to food catering. She personally do buying raw materials from public market and groceries. When we started, her eldest daughter, Anne is the one who takes care of the dessert, packed the foods and make sure everything is complete before going to the event. Ampie, her second daughter is doing all the designs for event styling and social media marketing. Gino, her youngest is assisting Ampie for Vlog, layout and paperwork while Aling Arlene’s  husband, Tatay Enie is her service and chopped lechon baboy (if there is). Yes! This is literally a family business. We work together as a team, it wasn’t  harmonious as you think but at the end of the day, we are still family and help each other and do our best to make sure that we are providing excellent customer service!

Fast forward to 2022:

We now have a small team, not just our family but we added some people. Some are close to us and some are those who needed help. I can say that Aling Arlene is fond of people who have big dreams like her. She is not after success with money but rather success with a little bit of charity.

We started working on our registration for us to provide official receipt to our clients, specially for those who are filing it as company expenses. Then we hired chat support for our FB page to make sure all their questions are answered. Gino is also working on our website, as a start, we are entering draft quotations in our webapp and this will be converted to contract (invoice)  once our client confirmed their booking. Aling Arlene hired  Sous Chef for us to accept more bookings. So far it is working well and we get more clients who are impressed with our services. We wanted to keep it that way for us to stay in the business.

We still consider it a small business since we do not have trucks or enough logistics for our transport, we limit our bookings within Calamba area or nearby places. In the future, we plan to put up our own place or restaurant to continue the legacy of Aling Arlene. For now, it is still a dream that we know we can reach with the help each other.
